Mostly cats... and the occasional mention of other critters that cross my path.
I am... a 41 year old life long New Yorker who suffers with information addiction secondary to my media mania. I love and eclectic cacophony of literature, movie, and music genres. I adore critters, cats most of all and am easily distracted by new and old ideas that flit around in my head or are tossed at me from others.
Okay people pay attention. The United States is in hell. It is a hell created by the current administration. Obama won't save us, but at least we might slow down the damage. McCain/Palin? Really are you nuts.. vot Obama
Boomerang is a sweet FIV+ kitty at the shelter. I have to remember to tell the guy who takes the pics to do an update. This boy is looking much better than this these days. He's too sweet.
I have to admit, I'm sad. My antidepressants still work, but it seems like they get me through about 3/4 of the day, and then I'm at the edge of this cliff. I feel like this kitty.
Isn't this the sweetest kitty? Bahn is a darling blind cat that came in to the shelter after being rescued by a good samaritan. He is the sweetest boy, a little shy, but ever so friendly.
Life is getting hectic as I try to get things together to get a house before the end of the year. (I need a house because I need room for more kitties!) Crazy Cat Lady!
I cleaned the dining room carpet today. The cats were quite disturbed by this. They are still walking into the room and sniffing with annoyed faces. I won't talk about how dirty it was.
Today I spent sooo much time thinking about the house I checked out. I would love to turn one of the small extra spaces into cat break space, complete with a kitty door.
Friday with the kitties at the shelter again. The kiddo got there ahead of me and did my room so all I had left to do was give the cats some attention.
DeeDee still doesn't feel good. She's my senior citizen girl. I'll have to call the vet tomorrow to make an appointment. DeeDee hates the vet and fights them violently every time.
No animal talk today. I started house hunting! The 2nd house was a bust, the tenants played like they weren't home. The first place a great old outdated wonderful possibility.
More rain here, I guess I can't complain about 6" more than usual rainfall, we could be in the middle of a hurricane. My DeeDee is feeling sick today.
This is another of my favorite kitties at the shelter, Stanley. He's a big mush. I hope to adopt him soon, after we move to our own house.
Our cat matriarch decided she is in love with my daughter's locks yesterday. Perhaps it's the lovely smelling dred wax she uses to get them locked up?
Sadly I saw what was left a small cat that was run over on New Scotland Avenue today. Why do people let their cats run outside?
Shelter day. We have one very messy sick cat who had a disgusting unpleasant cage today. I think i can still smell the .... unpleasant odor.
Never mind we have a dozen cat beds around the house, Squeakers sleeps on the scratching post. This causes Smokey to get very agitated.
While I gave the toads fresh water and cleaned up their tank the cats meowed angrily at the door. The toads just barked.
A coworker asked if we had any orange kittens at the shelter. I was thrilled to show her this guy and siblings.
I read about a cat with 4 ears today. They keep him inside so he won't get stolen. Cats belong INSIDE!!!!
Lefty regularly climbs up my leg when he desires attention and is not getting it fast enough. Yes, it hurts.
Freckles got returned for some silly reason. She's a sweet adult girl who acts more like a small kitten.
Looking forward to the three day weekend. It's cat shelter day and then I'm free to laze about.
The new toad is now named Shockwave. Last night we discovered it barks! It must be male.
Freakles the fire belly toad now has a new tank mate who is as yet unnamed.
My oldest cat looks like a ball with legs. Watching her on steps is hilarious.
The shelter is planning a local cat parade. Here's a pic from Catskills parade.
My cats are lousy bug hunters. They stare with no interest at junebugs.
Must get to the store, the toad is running low on crickets.
One of the sick kitties at the shelter needed much love.
Midnight can not believe we think we actually own him
They glare at me when I'm late coming home.
Smokey takes forceful possession of his owners backs.
Today my Smokey has been excessively needy.
A favorite former feral is Maggie.
