I took Intro Russian last winter but hardly remember any of it. It took forever to learn "Здравствуйте" and verb conjugations were painful to memorize. Now I've even forgotten letter sounds...

Recently I've been wishing I were musically talented. Classical music seems like a whole other world - with its own history, techniques, styles and stories.

I only like music that is sweet, harmonious, ethereal, like Debussy or Chopin. It's probably a personality flaw - I can never face harsh and powerful things.

Then I listen to Bach or Mozart and am amazed at the discordant sound. Maybe it's just the era, but I find it shrill, disrupting.
